DPA 4063 is acoustically identical with the DPA 4060, 4061, and 4062 but the FET preamp in the input stage is designed for working with a lower supply voltage (Zaxcom). The low sensitivity is designed to work with higher sound pressure levels, and this level of sensitivity seems to be what most location sound mixers tend to like for standard dialogue purposes. Offering great detail and resolution, the 4063 has a neutral sonic character and a transparent natural sound. It has a super low noise floor, impressive sensitivity, and can handle high SPLs. Excellent for speech and vocals, the DPA miniatures are used by musicals and theaters worldwide. They are also great live and studio microphones for acoustic string instruments.

Two grids are supplied (one high boost and one soft boost) and by changing these grids you can acoustically modify the microphone according to placement (chest, head etc.) With a wide range of MicroDot adapters, you can use DPA miniature microphones with all professional wireless systems plus 48v phantom power.

If you are purchasing this lav with a TA5 or Lemo connector, we will modify the mic in house, and will take 7-10 days to ship (Additional Costs May Apply).  If you order it pigtailed (unterminated), or with a microdot connector, it will ship immediately if in stock.  When ordering with the microdot connector, be sure you order the correct DPA microdot adapter to interface with your transmitter or sound system. 

* For Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, and WisyCom transmitters the DPA 4060, 4061, or 4062 (built to operate at a higher supply voltage) are recommended.
